Located in Orlando’s Milk District, Market on South is home to Dixie Dharma, Valhalla Bakery, and Humble Bumble Kombucha.

Market on South is Orlando’s first vegan commissary kitchen and bar, and also a shared market space for locally produced goods.

What I love about Market on South is that you can have lunch and then dessert – all in the same place. Although I do not show a picture of Valhalla Bakery’s amazing cupcakes, brownies, etc., trust me they are worth the extra calories.

Dixie Dharma provides the savory side to this market with it’s southern inspired eats. The T.L.T. is my favorite sandwich on the menu. The tempeh is prepared so well and is so flavorful. I think about it often. It’s magic. For my side, I ALWAYS get the Tater Salad. For some reason, I just cannot get myself to move away from the soft taters covered in creamy dressing sprinkled with paprika.

They also offer a BBQ pulled “pork” made with jackfruit, which if you haven’t tried it yet, try it here, because it will blow your mind. The Hail Kale Salad is also wonderful, I add tempeh bacon.

The menus at Market on South do change and some items sell out (yes, really) so if you go on the weekends, be prepared for a busy marketplace. The dining area is small, so if you plan to go for lunch, get there at noon or 2 p.m. to beat the crowds. The market’s hours and menus vary by day and time, so be sure to check their website.

By the way, Dixie Dharma also specializes in vegan hot dogs. On select evenings, it is possible to get a craft beer and a vegan hot dog. Isn’t Orlando great?!
